What I've Been Saying for Years

I've been traveling to Europe since 2001. Every time I was able to have a conversation with someone in Europe or Asia, they have disliked Bush. The reason I know this is, is when I first meet someone, I quickly point out I did not vote for Bush. Then people immediately start telling me how they don't like Bush and how horrible it is that we are at war with Iraq. When I got back to the U.S., I'd casually mentioned this to people at work, people had no interest—apathetic to the world wide disgust of Bush.

Why does it seem that American's as a whole don't care if Cheney and Bush are impeached? I will always hold my ground and say that it will be the crime of the century if Cheney and Bush are not impeached.

On a better note, due to Obama getting elected, the happiness of people all over the world is in the news. See the link to the article in the blog entry below.

Once again, Mike, Bush and Chenny will not be impeached. To do so would require criminal proceedings against just as many Democrats: don't think that will happen. Too many Democrats have selective memory about the war and the conditions of our getting into the war in Iraq. Don't forget that many Democrats saw the exact same intelligence information that Bush provided for justification for the war BEFORE Bush was even in the Whitehouse, and they believed that Iraq was a threat. The case against Bush is that he trumped up a case and lied about information to get us into the war. Unless George Bush created that faulty information between 1997 and 2000 and planted it in the intelligence community knowing that he would win the presidency in 2000, I sure don't know how that was possible.

So be it. If Cheney and Bush are impeached and, for example, if 90% of congress are impeached also, sounds good to me. We need to clean house, now.

By the way, none of my representatives voted to impeach Cheney and Bush—as I asked them to—and I vowed not to vote for them. November 4th, 2008, I did not vote for my congressperson. I've kept my promise.

"Our legislators took one oath when they were sworn into office: to preserve and protect the United States Constitution. The oath said nothing about doing it only if it's practical. It is our duty as citizens of this democracy to hold them to their oath."

"...when the President himself admits to violating the Constitution, that's an American problem, not a right or left problem. Every patriotic American knows that a President who fails to uphold his oath of office is not qualified to be President."

Did my congress people and senators keep their promise and oath? No.

I'm glad to hear that you're willing to see Republicans and Democrats indicted. That would include our Vice-President Elect, Joe Biden, BTW. Usually people only want these indictments to stick in a partisan manner, only against Republicans. I am still not convinced that anything will happen, and I'm not convinced anything should. I think this opens up a dangerous precedent that Republicans will use the first time Barrack Obama shoots a retaliatory missile in ...(Pakistan? Iran?)

Again, I say to you, if the V.P. would be included to be indicted, so be it. Obama could always find another qualified V.P.
